Mindfulness is the practice of paying full attention to the present moment without judgment. It is about being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without reacting to them. Like meditation, it is a skill that you cultivate & learn with daily practice.

In my last article, we defined what Mindfulness is by saying that it represents the practice of paying attention to the present moment, without judgment. It's about being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without getting caught up in them.
The benefits of cultivating Mindfulness can be listed in 3 categories:
It entails concentrating on the ''here and now'' rather than dwelling on the past or future.
It teaches us to be more aware of our own thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them.
It can result in increased calmness, clarity, and focus.
But to get to those benefits, there is a secret that must be respected: DAILY PRACTICE.
WHY is DAILY PRACTICE so important to cultivate MINDFULNESS?
Similar to how you'd learn any other skill, daily mindfulness practice is key for a few reasons:
Building the Muscle: Mindfulness is like a mental muscle. The more you train it through daily practice, the stronger your focus and awareness become.
Integration into Daily Life: Mindfulness isn't just about sitting and meditating. It's about bringing awareness to everyday activities.
Overcoming Resistance: We all have days when we don't feel like practicing. Daily practice establishes a routine and helps you commit to see it through, even on tough days.
Let’s learn about how to cultivate MINDFULNESS with daily practice during 7 days
Choose a week where you know you'll be committed to give 10 minutes or less of you time to practice mindfulness before starting your day.
Setup a time to do the practice (ex: every morning at 7 30 am from Monday to Sunday).
Every morning, play one of the 7 Mindfulness videos below, choose 1 mindfulness action out of the 2 proposed ones and put it in practice.
Follow the instructions described on the video and start practicing your chosen actions.
It's highly recommended to capture your feedbacks and feelings when you are practicing every morning. You can use the feedback form below to keep track of how you feel and progress overtime.
Repeat this Mindfulness daily practice for 4 weeks in a row. You will notice that this will become your new routine that will no more require a particular effort to do. When you arrive to that stage, you have cultivated Mindfulness successfully and forever.
